Mont Ventoux

This is the mountain of legend in Provence and it's called Mont Ventoux (windy mountain). It has been on the Tour de France route fourteen times since 1951 where the usual approach from Bedoin to the summit is 21.8 km long with an average grade of 7.43%, even our car was struggling to climb it. On the day we visited there were hundreds of cyclists attempting the climb, this is a task that shouldn't be taken lightly.

Starry Night

A beautiful starry night in the Loire Valley. Looking closely near the middle of the sky you can see the straight line of a satellite moving across the frame (looks like a scratch).

Sunflowers

Lightning Strike

Another shot of the impressive electrical storm taken looking across the wheat fields of the Loire Valley in France. Within about a minute of this shot the downpour started.
