Camp at Lanmannalaugar, Iceland - 2008-11-07 22:14:45

Sorry but I've become a bit of a "Panomaniac" lately and since I just got around to processing this pano from Iceland this week I wanted to get it up so it's not too far removed from the other Icelandic shots. So this is a pano looking down towards the camp at Lanmannalaugar from the massive lava flow that is next to it. 54 individual images have gone into this; 2 rows of 9 shots in portrait orientation for 18 and each of these is bracketed -1,0,+1 stop. I first batch processed the shots in Photomatix for the HRD and tone mapping then stitched the resulting 18 in PTGui. From there it was tweaked in CS2 to get what you see here - only the original is much bigger. I printed it on my Epson 2400 at 300 dpi and it came out at 12" x 42". What helped in this case for almost perfect alignment was the NN3 pano head.
