I'd seen pictures of Sequoia National Park but until we entered I really had no idea just how big these trees really are. The General Sherman tree (in the middle with the fence around) is the largest living tree by volume on the planet - some 274.9 feet and 36.5 feet in diameter at the base - it is just massive. Glad we rented a convertible for the trip. |
