The way this shot turned out in the end was quite different from what I had anticipated when I pressed the shutter. What really surprised me was how different a scene can look depending on the crop chosen. Out of the camera the aspect ratio is 3:2 but I originally cropped it 1:1, which I like but it's a completely different shot from what you see here. Finally I tried another 2:1 crop on the 1:1 and here is the result, without much in the way of PS manipulation. To me, this scene could be from the edge of the earth - anyone want to hazard a guess as to where it is? The next post is from the same place which you will recognize ;) |
