Well this is a bit of stretch for me but I was playing around with duotones in PS and this is what I ended up with. The real shot was taken from Eastport Dr across Hamilton Harbour towards the other large steel company Stelco. As I waited for the sun to approach the horizon a few mallard ducks paddled into the scene to make a nice contrast. Based on a couple of comments that I agreed with, I added a gradient bringing the bottom back to the original colours. There were a couple of people who asked whether the last shot was HDR (i.e. multiple exposures combined). No, this was a single shot but I used a 2 stop ND grad filter on the sky to properly expose the frosted field. I had just got the filter delivered the day before and thought I'd give it a try :) 43 17' 17.30" N, 79 47' 33.10" W View W |
