Last weekend we had the most surreal conditions around here which presented a photographers paradise. I had made plans to get up early and see if there was anything worth shooting just outside Hamilton near Carlisle. It was a cold foggy morning here in Hamilton but as drove out the thick fog changed to intermittent mist patches, bright blue skies and heavy frost. In this image, the sun was getting higher and the mist rolled across the road and out into the field. With the sun behind, the mist over the road was so bright the road disappeared into it - the scene looked like you were driving up to the pearly gates :) I'm glad I decided to get up early. 43 21' 53.16" N, 79 54' 35.04" W View SE (Beeforth Rd) |
