This is a close-up of the most amazing rainbow I have ever seen. It had just finished raining heavily in the Slocan Valley (BC), the sky was still extremely dark over one part of the sky but starting to clear in another. The rainbow stretched over the whole valley and was complete with both ends touching, in fact, near the dark end it was a double. I think these bird were trying to get to the top for a good view. If you are interested in seeing the entire rainbow click - Here. While in Slocan Valley (again near Nelson) we stayed a couple of nights at one the best B&B's I've had the pleasure of staying in called the Spoke'n'Dog run by Deborah and Dennis Stefanik. If you are every passing through the area, I could highly recommend it - they make killer baked French Toast. Click Here for their website. 49 37' 41.07" N, 117 33' 09.47" W View NE |
